About Me-Jannette My Health Struggles
Hi, my name is Jannette Teston; I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, two strokes within one year, IBS or Chrons they are trying to figure out, and another mass on my endocrine system.
I started having issues with my female organs and had to have a partial hysterectomy when I was 31; they found a mass in my uterus; the good news is it was not cancer.
At 38, I started having trouble with my breast producing milk and bleeding; I knew that was not normal, so I didn’t waste any time getting to the doctor. At first, it was not easy to get a mammogram as they said I was too young; eventually got approval to have my first mammogram and detected a mass in my milk ducts. My milk ducts were removed, but that didn’t solve the problem. So I went in for two more breast biopsies; in the last biopsy, I was cut to the breast bone, and each came back noncancer.
Seven years ago discovered I was a type 2 diabetic with high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which changed my life for good. I changed my eating to a bland diet, stayed at my normal BMI, and still ran into issues. No matter what, and even with many medicines, I could not keep them low.
In March 2022, my first known stroke put me in the hospital for a week after being airlifted. They didn’t think I would make it but proved everyone wrong. Then, in March 2023, I had another minor stroke; I refused to leave the hospital until I got answers.
My job was as a truck driver until my stroke in 2022, which put me in a downward spiral of always being depressed and stressed out.
For over five years, I have told my primary physician that I couldn’t eat; I get hungry when I take just one bite and start hurting. After that, my abdomen would swell till it was uncomfortable to lay down and sleep. Then, during the 2023 hospital stay, they found a mass on my endocrine system. They believe that mass keeps my blood pressure, cholesterol, and sugar high, which is dangerous.
